Oil recommendation

Post by loud »

I've just bought my 6N2 valver and am going to change the oil...what kind would you recommend? I used to use synta silver in my mk4, but am not sure as to what type, weight etc to use in this car...

In the GTi, I use Castrol GTX Magnatec semi-synthetic, if it's of any help? 10W40 IIRC.

Missed your post first time round, sorry 'bout that...

Cheers

also, when asking the same question about my mk4 a while back everyone said magnatec is pish compared to synta, is this not the case for mk5s?
