Amping my front speakers

Post by Dub1 »

i have got these ready & waiting to be installed...

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product ... ts_id=3337

i want to amp them up, but dont know what type of amp to go for. i was looking at some Alpine V Power amps, as im going for an alpine install.

also i may consider getting either...

OR

to put in the rear door cards for a bit of rear soundstage

i dont really know an awful lot about 'ice', but would it be an idea to get a 2 channel amp and run both sets of speakers off it?

any ideas, suggestions are all welcome

cheers :D

to run two sets of speakers you will need a 4 channel amp as each speaker is one channel :D

im running 3 1/2inch coaxs in the front of my mk3 and 6x9's in my parcel shelf.

The 6x9's are running off my Amp along with my sub in the boot.

My Amp is 4 channel and my front speakers run off my head unit. Very puncy and clear.

My advice is to Amp all of them if possible. Unless you are going to run a sub too then i would choose a similar setup to mine. :)

If I was going to run a sub as well, personally I'd go with amping the fronts with a 2 channel, amping the sub with a mono and running the rears off the H/U. But that's my opinion.
