I've been a big cricket fan for ages, I'm loving all the extra attention it's getting.

COME ON THE POMMES!

All I can say is ... i'm interested in the result and think it's pretty cool we're on track to win the ashes (just about...!). But, we had it on at the BBQ and we'rent exactly rapt with attention even as we were last time with the tennis on. Telly was indoors showing it live and one of us nipped in every 10 minutes to confirm that, yes, the ozzies had got another 2 or 3 runs but were still trailing by a satisfying margin.

Then it eventually got to 6.30 and i was kind of deflated to see that this particular game still wasnt over.

(in the meantime we'd got through several rounds of swingball, table football and boule each)

The idea is to use it as an excuse to blag a day off work and spend it getting p*ssed in the sun shine, isn't it?

Exactly. Thats what we get to do where I work anyway, although I've not been invited yet as I haven't expressed an interest in cricket (I don't mind it, in fact I watched it for most of Friday and it wasn't too bad!) and we don't get many tickets up for grabs tbh.
