for starters def. get it done by a pro!! its definitely an art...

the ones i've got on mine are a bit dodgy - looks like stevie wonder did them!

and are starting to go to a purpley colour after 3/4 yrs of exposure to the sun...

get someone that uses Llumar film or one thats equivalent in quality!! the guy who did my last ibiza did it flawlessly and cost Â£150... gonna get mine re-done by him...

who knows,if i did get pulled again because of my windows,would they have a record and say,''oi youve been done for this before heres a life sentence'',or ''look son,get them tints out now,now on your way''.just worried they might hammer me as its the 3rd time my fronts have been tinted in limo.

I didn't blag it, I bouught the car 2nd hand, and it was already like that. I thought it must have been aftermarket, but I looked at the bottom corner, where it has some markings etched into the glass, and it had either VAG or the vw symbol, a serial number, and tinted ( in caps, but I didn't want to shout)
I want to get in contact with the first owner and find out about it.

must be aftermarket m8, all the windows are tinted from the factory to a certain legal % i.e. all say tinted on them

yeah i think most windscreens in particular say 'tinted' somewhere on the glass, had a look at mine yesterday and all the windows say 'tinted' next to all the symbols iirc.
