Why me.....

Post by r_penny23 »

It seems like when everything is going well with my car and I can actually take some time and a little cash aside to give it the care something happens.

Went to Halfrauds on the weekend and picked up some wax etc and when I got into the carpark some pr*ck has driven into the back of my car and left :x

Im now faced with a rear bumper thats slightly cracked and the paint rippling/flaking off in one area and make the car look aweful

Any one have any ideas of costs for fixing this sort of thing or for an aftermarket rear bumper? I think a full respay and moulding is going to cost a fortune and going on the insurance will just mean more money in the long run so dont want to cut corners but my funds are limited. Any ideas would be greatly received.

cheers

if you need any bits then you could save a bit by geting them through VAG parts and collecting from swindon, its not too far

I would love a new rear bumber but it really depends on the cost, how much would it be minus the two inserts as these are still intact? Also, sorry for all the questions but any idea of a cost for painting it also?

As for the car park, they were completely unhelpful. I asked the Halfords manager if I could view the take but it just so happens that were I parked the CCTV doesnt reach.....what a load of sh*t

Thats a great help, thanks.

Im just looking into the delivery cost to my place and then have the joy of sourcing a spray shop, oh joy! It also means that I could potentially get my wing mirror sprayed at the same time (after some s**t nicked my last one)......all clouds have a silver lineing......well sort of.....

Bloody good site :)

Last question, any one know of a round about cost for doing this?
