If they're off a 4 stud golf then yes, what width are they?? golfs can take wider rims than a polo, well without scrubbing!!

they are 7x16 with 195/45/16 tyres

Harry,

Mind the thickness of the adapter though. They start at a minimum of 20 mm, but can be up to 50 mm thick (rare). So do check how thick they are, so you can calculate the final ET of the wheel + adapter.

Well,

they're off the shelf, but they're available in several sizes (or thicknesses, actually). The thinnest and most common is 20 or 22 mm. They can however be up to 50 mm thick, which causes the wheel to poke far beyond the fender.

Which looks brutal, but isn't too practical.

me too have to wait till the weekend tho to pick them up so fingers crossed,. once again can't wait i will then have a collection of rims 15inch bbs, 16inch porsche and 17 inch momo x1's ( oh my god i'm obsessed with alloy wheels!!!

Got them

, what a mission i had to do a 400 mile round trip to pick them up, was worth it, found out how much the car does on a full tank also 350 miles with climate on all the way there and back (phew it was hot today) and with speed varying there and back...need adapters now anyone know where i can get a set from h&r cheap (i'm broke now)

H&R is very expensive. There are cheaper alternatives, but H&R kits have been TÃ¼V approved, which makes them expensive - cheaper alternatives don't have the seal of approval.

What thickness did you get? What will the final ET be?

i haven't checked it yet the box is in the car will check it when i finish work in about 20 mins will post it on here when i get home, i got them from the store where i origionally ordered the porsche rims and those rims that came were not of good quality so they sent the rims back but they kept the adapters i think they are 20mm what is et?

ET means Einpress Tiefe, or how far the wheel moves in or outward.

High ET means that the wheel moves inward (so towards the shock/spring combo) and a low ET means the wheel pokes outward, revealing the top of the tyre. Very Euro.
