Why not just put the cds in the other glove box?
I find it quite useful to be honest.

There's only one. The one on the passenger side is just a small shelf which can hold nothing really so it's pointless.
Bit of clarification - Above applies only on cars with Drivers
and Passenger airbags
If you only have a Drivers airbag you get a massive glove box on the passenger side instead that will swallow loads of stuff

my old mk4 8v has big glove box on passenger and a handy one on the drivers side for putting ur weed and stereo fascia in

I've never found a use for the one under the steering wheel.....but now that you've mentioned it, I've realise that my other proper glovebox is actually pretty full and maybe I should put something in the other?

Proves ive got a bottom the range polo.
So the 16v doesn't have the glove box on the passenger side?

I don't know depends on if it has two airbags as std or not - i thought teh passenger airbag was an option
