Quick question, is it possible to dismantle my current lock handles and use the painted handle part along with the delocked part of the new rear handle (and therefore only spraying the delocked new bit)
Hope makes sense, pic:
the bit the black bit comes out of, swap that for the same part from the delocked handle, or will it not fit/work
i suppose that would work cause from what i recall you can split both apart..ie.handle and lock bit.... only problem i think is that if you only spray the delocked section wont it look different from the rest anyways cause its not blended to match... also cant be more that more expensive and easier to spray the whole thing.....
I would be buying a whole primed set, but my thinking was that id never be able to get a good match or perhaps even finish with rattle cans, unless i found a cheap spray place
So if the main part of the handle, say 80% is the stock silver, then the small 20% part I do should blend in more and not stick out as being redone?
Plus less to paint and a smaller and easier piece for rattle cans, can take my time for nice finish
Also even if professionally done, the metallic silver would never match properly anyway nor blend, as they would only do the handle off the car etc..
Perhaps I will try it and if no good, get the other bit done too lol
