Some good quality component speaker, preferably amped to gain their full potential. Highly recommend JL or Infinity perfects. It depends how much you have to play with  Anythings better than standard though!

I don't recommend the Perfects - large mounting requirements and I wasn't at all impressed with mine. IMO the Apline type R's are better than the infinities and they are about 1/3 the cost IIRC. I'm running Genesis Audiophiles at the mo, they are a bit warmer sounding than the Alpines. You can't go wrong (for the money) with the Alpine Type S or R, depends on your budget.

Also, you have to be careful when changing from the factory setup - the OEM speakers are actually quite good. You will probably need an aftermarket HU and about 70+ worth of component speaker to get a better sound. If you put a sub in parallel with the OEM speakers you can get a decent sounding setup for < 100 quid.
