Removing tar/brake dust off alloys

Can anyone please tell me what is the best way to remove tar and brake dust off my alloys?

I use ;
Autoglym intensive tar remover
Autoglym wheel cleaner or Meguiars Hot rims

i used some turtle wax wheel cleaner, it was a bad idea to use it without gloves as i later read the bottle "contains hydrochloric acid", stings the old fingers :roll:

if i get tar up the pait work i get a damp cloth (old cotton t towl) and lightly work some fairy liquid into it. it contains a small amount of spirit so it gets it off. just rinse it off well.
