boot lid transplant

just out of interest can a vw polo gti boot lid fit the standard 8v models.... and hook up the third brake light in the spolier.... anyone know????

Yes of course it can.

You bootlid without spoiler should have a third brake light anyway, the GTi spoiler just fits around this.

i thought so but it wont sit flush like on gti ones..... theres a gap ..... anyone got pics of what their spoliers look like on the non gti models

o and its the spoiler off of ebay, an original vw part but not the same as the GTI spoiler.

yep as pictured above, the other nongti version of the spoiler, but as tom says, a gti boot would bolt on fine - including the gti spoiler
