mk 5 gearknob gaiter in mk4

hi,
wwas told this would be an easy fit and that they had done it themselves personally so i purcjased it off ebay
however the mk4 gaiter has an elasticated bottom but the mk5 one had the gaiter stappled into a frame???

any help greatful!!

I fitted a Mk 5 gearknob and gaiter to my Mk4 and it was a straight fit

Part number V6X0 711 118

did ure gaiter have the elasticated bottom though/??

yes had elasticated bottom which fitted perfectly
