ride height lower

Post by badazz »

jst wana know,
i have a 40mm drop and i was wondering if i should cut a coil off or not?
As Id like the car to be 10mm lower, but im not sure if imma get a bumpy/bouncy ride or what..
Heard that one coil shouldnt make a difference

any comments pls?

Don't cut coils, it's no good. (See my sig)

Rather, get some decent springs + shocks and you'll never look back.

i agree with others on this.

if you have any pride in your car you wouldnt do silly things like that. charvers in their nova's cut coils...vw's do it with style on coilovers.

if it was fine to cut them dont you think everyone would do it!?

save for some shocks and lower springs or coilovers

Buy yourself a -60mm kit and sell your current springs, someone on here will almost certainly buy them. Sorted ;)

I heard lowering caps are a deathtrap, if you go over some bad bumps the whole suspension can fall off or something?

Lowering spring caps / topmounts are crap in my experiance. I wouldn't waste my money on them. Buy the coreect lowering springs/shocks or coilovers.
