Ah, cool!

I would go for it, it does look a lot nicer with the electronic display. I just couldn't affor it when I got mine, I was stretching to get the Sport, but I'm glad I did. Couldn't live without the sports seats!

Oh, and why is it that even though you've watched every episode of top gear, and they do the 'best of' shows, you always see something new??

go back and edit that post and check that the box that says show signatire is checked
and on topic to get it even colder just put it on teh floor vents cos if you have it on demist or comin through the dash vents the glass or dash surfaces heat the air up

I'm just letting enough dirt and dust build up on mine so that it will no longer be black, but in fact a sort of light brown dusty colour. I'm about halfway there atm, and am subjectively noticing a reduction in the in-cabin temperatures as the coating of dirt is reflecting more light. This, in turn, makes the air con more effective and saves my petrol expenses. QED.

(Or maybe I should just wash it )

Deek.

Deek,

I think I have spotted a possible flaw or two in your logic

All that dust must be interfering with the airflow, and as such the drag is actually costing you more fuel for the same speed. Not to mention the added weight ...

Then again, the weight will be lowering your car slightly and may be benefitting from the same 'ground effect' that F1 cars put to such good use

Speaking of aircon, the water release has been gushing all over the place today so the dealer has the car back tomorrow.

I have a horrible feeling I'm going to get a Seicento as a loan car, or slightly better, a Punto.

I heard about this, bad isn't it?

The worst I have had is a cold and tight chest. I never angle the vents right at me, and turn it off now and then, and after open the windows.

I have had, and have used, a lot of different climate control systems on a lot of different makes of car and have to say I would never order it. You can never quite get it to do what's it's meant to, and it sometimes blows out too strong/weak, or hot/cold. The VW climatic system is best IMHO.

Some people swear by full climate, but it's something I will never want or miss.

Well guys, the weather you're experiencing now - it's what we're use to here in good ol' S.A. Normal December summer days are around 32-35°C and if the sun really has it in for us, it can be 42°C in the shade - luckily I live 12min. away from 4 glorious white beaches. That's why A/C has become standard basically on all cars, except for the most inexpensive ones. Wishing you good luck!
