Side Mouldings

Does anyone know if the side moudlings on the GTI have holes behind them?

Also if they are taken off are is the area smooth?

Yep, unfortunately there are holes behind the side rub strips...if you had a MkIV...that would be a different story...

Yeh i thought so. I was about to take them off yesterday and then I thought i'd just double check. Glad I didn't now :D .

The ones on the door are just stuck on, but if you mean the bumper strips, then yes holes - clips hold them on

Door = stuck on - this includes the rear door 'area' even if not 5-door car

Bumper = clipped on/holes - removed once bumped is off, from the inside of the bumper
