Its not that difficult if you have a late mk2. But you need a fair few bits. If youre just doing a straight conversion (55bhp hydro head carb mk2 to 55bhp single point injection mk3) then thats the easyest. This is what I used

Mk3 Exhaust (manifold, downpipe (decatted), centre box and backbox)

Complete mk3 fuel system (tank, lines, pumps, everything from tank forwards). The in-line fuel pump and accumilator bolt to a bracket behind the rear axle. If you have a car thats older than 1986 you may have difficultly fitting this without drilling holes. On later cars the mounts for this bracket are already there, as well as the screws for the brackets for the extra fuel lines.

Mk3 1.3 SPI inlet manifold, Throttlebody, ECU and distributor. All direct replacements for whats on the old engine. Also I used mk3 blue and black temp senders but you can keep the mk2 thermostat housing

Fuel pump under-carpet wiring loom from a mk3. One wire (red with yellow stripe) supplies power to both pumps and this needs to be added to the wiring system and can be connected to the mk3 loom in the engine bay via the yellow fuse on the mk3 loom. You will need the plugs from this loom as well so try not to cut the wires if you can avoid it (makes for less soldering later) The in-line pump also requires an earth.

Complete mk3 Engine bay wiring looms (everything that plugs into the fusebox)

If you have an early mk2 (pre 1989) its also worth getting a few bits from a very late mk2 as some of the ancillaries on these late cars have mk3 plugs such as the indicators, horn and reverse switch. Also on early cars with the two washer bottle system you will need to add an earth to the -ve terminal of the wash bottle water pump as mk3s and late mk2s use the same pump for both front and rear wash wipe (turns one way for the front and the opposite way for the rear)

This is pretty much the same set of instructions for all mk2 to mk3 conversions really. I keep meaning to write an FAQ. I suppose what ive just written is a good place to start.
