You know what, I've not even registerd my car as having an immobiliser... I dont think it made a difference to the premium... I'll be pi$$ed to find that I could have saved on 2 premiums :evil:

It does have a chip in the key because when i took it in for an ordinary key, they put it in a machine which showed them that it had a chip in it. They ordered the blank, copyed the chip and cut it.

Which timpsons did you go to? There used to be one in my area but think it shut down, i'll do a search and see if there is a local one

Its in Plymouth, but i think there are loads of them around, just search for timpson key cutting or timpson shoe repair etc.
