bummed handbrake

My hand brake has all of a sudden gone all soft if i can explain it like that and when on a averagely step incline the car just rolls back, regardless of the handbrake bein on !
Now i know its a buggered handbrake and it probs needs taking to a garage but i cant be bothered to and want to know if theres anything i can try before hand !

perhaps try tightening the brake cable thingy (check my mechanical talk)

My handbrake's been pretty cack the whole time I've had the car (2 years).

The only solution I've used often is to just pull on it harder than normal

I got a garage to tighten for me, but that only worked for a short time.

probably ripped it from the floor mate, common prob

the spanish dude must of been lazy with the spot welder!

just need to peel the carpet back an weld it back down
