Bolt needed for my MK1!!!

Post by VF_Marshall »

Hi guys, i know this should be in the parts section, but i guess that 99.9999% of the people using that section have nice shiny MK4's and 5's, not old skool stuff!

Does anyone out there have a scrap MK1 Polo/Derby? I need a bonnet hinge bolt, it holds the bonnet hinge to the A pillar. I've just sheared one on my Derby Project and can i get one?? NO!

I'll happily pay for postage, etc....

k here we go assuming its the horizintal one that im looking at,
part number: 431 823 327
availability; still available at dealers (and vagparts) for £3.13
cars used on
audi 100/avant 77-79 same position
audi 100/avant 80-81 same position
audi 100/avant 82-82 same position
audi 200 80-90 same position
audi 50 75-78 same position
audi 80/90/avant 73-87 same position
audi 80/90/avant 83-87 quattro
audi coupe 81-88 same position
audi coupe quattro 85-88 same positiion
audi quattro/sport 80-91
passat/santana 74-80 same position

so i have no idea where you might find one :P
if your looking for an easier to find solution go into a nut and bolt store and ask for an M8 hex headded bolt and cut the threadded portion down to 24.5mm long

any help?

Polo2k, thanks a lot for that, i reckon that our local scrappy has some older Audi's in, so i'll take a look tomorrow.
You must have a damn good supply of info for these old motors!

Take it easy
