HELP!
HELP!
I've just been round to a mates to try and fix my horn - hasn't worked for a few weeks and can't pass my MOT without it. Anyway i knew it wasn't the actual horn that was the problem so we ended up removing the steering wheel and fixing the problem, only to find once back together that the airbag light stays on after the 3 second test!
We checked the wiring and it seems ok - has anyone had this problem before or know what's wrong? It says in the manual to take it to a vw dealer at the nearest opportunity!

I had to replace my horn's fuse recently..
Like David said, you pop open the drivers side cubby box, unhook it from its mountings by sliding it forwards and upwards, then (I found it much easier this way) undo the two large screws on the left and right underside of the fuse area - giving you perfect access to the row of smaller fuses on the bottom.
If you just pop the cubby box out you might find it hard to get at the smaller fuses since the lip of the lower piece of plastic bends up and restricts access.
Good luck.

Thanks Noddy.
So now I've managed to get access to the fuses and located the 2 fuses for the low beam headlights.
The fuses dont look broken, how can I tell? and I've pulled out the left and right fuses and cant remember which goes where
Is the Right low beam the 10amp and the Left the 15amp?
So, how can I tell whether its the bulbs that have blown or the fuses?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

lol at different fuse ratings...they should certainly be the same...
about the airbag light... mine is on due to a faulty contact i think that i cant seem to find.. anyway its past 2 MOT's with this light on...either the MOT station i use is blind or its not required as not all cars have airbags...so hence mite not be tested but then again not all cars have ABS, mine does and that would fail if the light was on...weird heh

Need to get the fuses tomorrow, should I get 10A or 15A?
Parents bought be a bulb when I got back, only £6 they said. Only one of my bulbs had gone, but both didnt work.
Is it the relay that makes them both not work in the event of one of them blowing?
Symptons: I got in the car the other night, turned on the car and switched the headlights on, they flashed for a very split second and went out. Now only the parking lights come on when I switch it to low beam headlights.
I hope this new bulb is bright.
