I have recently bought a 2002 1.9TDI PD100 and although the performance is good I was wondering what tuning options are available.
I’ve heard you can ‘chip’ the engine which gives good bhp/torque gains but I have been told this will make the engine unreliable, has anyone done this and is it reliable?
What other options are available any info would be appreciated, cheers.

Revo is a good bet, gains of 40bhp on the tdi 100 and reliabilty.
Just remember the engine in the tdi 100 is basicly the same throughout
the vag range, so is good for at least 160bhp+.
First engine mod you should make is to buy a cupra 160 air intake pipe and a replacement panel filter (K&N, Green cotton).
Thats why I bought a tdi 100 plenty of scope for improvement.
