ok, let me tell you one thing about German Ebay as a starter:

IT RULES! :D

A lot off stuff is offered, and there are so many bargains to get (just keep your eyes open and keep following interesting ad's), already bought stuff, a camshaft from a 3F polo engine (costed me 60 euro  ), a fuel pressure regulator (about 60 euro  ) and last weak I got a brandnew pair of LED taillights (@ 103 euro, while there about 250 euro new in some shops around here  )(all prices included shipment to Holland)

I would really recommend it, I search there almost everyday, and the best par tis that Germans are quit reliable when it comes to trade.

They usually dont want to post to UK tho.... and dont accept paypal which makes the transactions very difficult and time consuming.
Most of the time its not worth the hassle.

Like you said tho, there are some very good deals.

Luckily I life in Holland, but I understand this is quit a problem, just join the EMU for God's sack! Get Tony Blair to stop being such a pain in the European arse  just kiddin' here m8

But if you just have a IBAN and BIC code from the German's account number, you can easily make an international transaction at your bank, which doesn't take that much time (mostly 1 working day with my bank), and it aint that of an hassle, but I guess shipment costs to GB are quit different then to Holland, which kinda sucks for you all :(

£20 to do a bank transfer so it would need to be a pretty good deal.
Otherwise cash send via registered post is the best option.

why the hell not? But I would like the payment on forward, to be sure that I'm not dealing with "funny buyers"
Tell me if you see anything on Ebay, maybe we can work something out, who knows

This is an online translator, its completly free. You can copy and paste a whole page. It wont translate perfectly but enough so you can understand what they are saying.
