Side repeater question???

Post by Phatman »

Hi, just bought some clear side repeaters off eBay for the Polo (S reg) ...and they're different to the ones fitted - they have two plastic tabs instead of the large hole with 3 notches in the sides, so have I been given MKV ones? or is there a modified bulb holder to buy too!?

TIA

I had some like that...

So I cut the wires, stuck on some audio connectors, connected the wires to the side repeator and applied electrical tape !!!

THEN, when I had some different ones which would of fit my standard fit, I went to the scrappers, robbed the connector and fitted them to the wires as I'd left enough to do this !

I think some people get the MKIV and MKV mixed up! I reckon I'll get some Golf MKIII bulb holders from the breakers and solder them up rather than faff around trying to find someone who actually has what I want. Has anyone actually bought an after market part that fits  Uesd to get this all the time with Beetles.
