Few Problems....PLS HELP!!!

Post by AKs_SlickPolo »

My mk4 was recently serviced, but since then its not running too happy :(

When u start braking ready to stop u brake and clutch down, however the car just cuts out, showing the battery symbol. Its not stalling its just completely cutting off.

Idling is very erratic, when u stop in traffic, the rpm needle just bounces up and down quite lot. Morning starts it seems to do it a little when u start it at first, but then it gets stable eventually.

when u pull of and gas to 1,500rpm or a little more, it just drops way down then gets pushed back up. Kinda like its stalling, and the battery icon does a second flash but then goes away. sort of like bump starts back on!

Today the first problem, is also combined with a oil light problem. The oil light comes on with some annoying beeeping and then engine cuts out. I stopped over and engine oil is full. There is no leakage from sump plug or anywhere. It seems fine now, but dunno why it did that?!?

Does any1 know whats going on and how to sort any of these problems???

Any help is appreciated> Thanks 8)

Its definately the throttle body, I had the same problem a few weeks ago.

Spray some carb cleaner down it. See the bottom of this thread for more details: http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/v ... hp?t=17431

In my mini service all i did was:

Clean out Trottle Body w/carb cleaner

Remove K&N induction kit and replace stock Airbox, with brand new OEM filter.

Oil change

adjusted the accelerator cable. Just to tension and make the pedal more responsive, without effecting idling.

Not changes plugs or HT leads, is this why??? is it possible?

Cheers
