My car has been out of the garage now for about a month, but im having problems with the car not wanting to accelerate at times when you put your foot down, one of the HT leads has been repaired cos my bro managed to pull the lead outta the end that connects to the spark plug.

do you think the HT lead could need replacing, would the lead breaking down cause this power lack?

yea my car did this -- i changed the sparks and the HT leads and it went back to how its ment to be

Same thing happen to me, VW care patched it up my HT lead were split and was not firing up all the cylinders, temp fix was ok for a while, now it strugles past 40mph hour.

VW Care would of replaced but didnt have GTi leads on him.

Its booked in under warrentee on saturday, ive had my GTi for 3 weeks only manged to put my foot down once, to truly see the power.

I have been advised to take it very easy till the leads are replaced.....

Hopefully after saturday all will be good..

yeah, put 40 quid aside and do the plugs and leads - gsf don't charge much more than than I think

The thing is ive had the lot changed recently. I changed leads, plugs and coil cos it werent firing properly.

Ive recently changed the lead that could of been faulty and no change

Do you think another coulda broken down cos the power lack is really making me hate my little dub.
