Engine being stripped

Post by LAN's GTI »

Just thought I'd let you all know that my beloved Polo GTi is back at VW having it's engine stripped (It's only 2 years old). They reckon there is no compression on the 2nd cylinder so they are investigating further. Thank god its still under warranty.
Having a few other problems too. They tried to tell me that my warranty was invalid?! It turned out that the garage who carried out the 1st service entered it incorrectly on the computer. After a lot of phone calls & stress I managed to get it sorted out and the warranty reinstated. Also VW reckon they cannot give me a courtesy car as they do not have one!
Pretty poor service I reckon, especially from VW.
Anyone else had similar problems or am I alone?!

You are not alone mate... I have found, on occasion, vw uk's customer service and aftersales is very poor.

Hope it all gets sorted soon.

 Hiya Lan welcome to the forum, Just read your post and I think my car is going down this route. As the car wont stay on a hill parked in gear it just starts rolling down the road!!!!!
