Hi yeah back now, just took wheel off then looked at disk looked fine but moved it around a bit lined up the inner holes better then put the wheel back on and i think it has sorted it out

Think the bloody mechanic had not lined up the inner disk holes with the outer so bolts were only going in front holes then just hitting bloody disk

went round block and the noise has gone haraaa

Gonna give it proper spin tomoz but i think its sorted

Just wanna say thanks for everyone who helped me its been a big help and i hope i can return the favour one day with little nolige (cant even spell the word) i have

Merry christmas

Check this link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SPIGOT-RINGS-FOR- ... dZViewItem

tsw wheels have a bore of 72mm. according to this, you definetely need them in order to reduce the bore to 57mm for VWs. They are plastic rings that are pushed into the bore so that the fit onto the bore without a gap. I would buy some and try it, esp since their not expensive. mind u the link i sent charges 20quid or something. but go to a local tyre shop...it will only be like 1 or 2 quid per wheel
r they easy to fit as im gunna b orderin my rims soon and wanna know more bout these spigot rings, is there nefin else u need with new alloys? lol im just quite nervouse coz i might order those rims 2nite and they r £400 :S

If u buy your wheels brand new, and you tell them what car u have, u usually get the spigot rings and right sized bolts with them. The spigot rings just push into the wheels. Just ask em to make sure u get a fitting kit wid em!

Since we're on the subject of alloys... I dont think I got the spigot ring things.... They're just bolted on... Can anyone tell me if I need anything else since this was brought to my attention...

My alloy details:

Rim Width: 6.5J
Rim Diameter: 15 inches
Offset: 38
Stud Diameter: 100

Many Thanks!!

rings

Post by wesley666 »

Oh the not so wise, i was like u 3 weeks ago hehe

These rings just go inside the middle of u alloy then onto axle

It makes the axle thicker so it will fit inside the alloy nice and snug

hope that makes sense?

Yeah we are water tight now, just the way i like it lol
