Couple of small problems

Post by ModifiedMadness »

I THINK that I've had these problems since I've had the car.

The passenger door needs shutting quite hard otherwise it doesn't shut all the way :? I've known about that for a while, but it's not a major problem.

The other, which I only noticed the other day is the fan vent on the drivers side, I had the C/C on fully blowing through the vents instead of on the screen, I then shut the passenger one, the two in the middle and the drivers one and noticed that the drivers one was still letting air out.

Strange I thought, turns out that the vent doesn't shut whether you turn the slider or not.

I bet there's no chance of VW doing this for Free is there (it is under warranty) I've had the car for roughly 5 or 6 months.

My passenger door is exactly the same mate. Think it's a sign of old age. lol

Dunno if it's the door dropping slightly due to the weight. Funny how the driver's door is ok.

Can it be adjusted?

If the car is under warranty, get it looked at! I was having work done on my car under warranty on two days after it ran out lol (Bank Holiday got in the way). IMO the whole point of having the warranty is that if any problems that aren't attributed to the good old "wear and tear" clause are fixed at no cost. I can't see how a faulty air vent is waer and tear, they should have that fixed in a day or so?

I'm pretty sure you can, by undoing the two large allen type bolts on the catch located on the door pillar, there is movement for it to go a couple of mm in all directions  .

I have the same problem. But it seems to be my driver's side door. the passenger door is fine. I think. Don't really let anyone sit in my car.
