engine swap

ok the engine swap is planed for two weeks time for my 1.0l mk4 (97P) i am goin to put a 1.6 8v in.

i need as much advise as possible and what to look out for

oh and will the 1.6 ecu plug into the 1.0l loom

AFAIK, it's more or less a straight swap. The engine will fit, as will the gearbox/driveshafts/etc. Electronic-wise I haven't a clue unfortunately.

Let us know how you get on...

PS: are you upgrading the brakes too?
