Hi All:
Well I have something which is somehow so strange. I managed to replace my Manual A/C with Climatronic, this process involved replacement of the following:
- Dash Panel Insert (To have the outer temperature displayed in front of my sight)
- Interior Harness (Must do this to install the Sun Photo Sensor, you can do this manually but I don't prefer this way)
- Installation of Sun Photo Sensor
All functions are working properly, no faults recognized, wonderful temperature control. BUT....
As per the wiring diagrams, Pin #1 in T20 should be connected to Pin # 12 in T12a and then to the Dash Panel Insert so that the temperature can be displayed. When we did so, the temperature fluctuates all the time with Negative readings, positive readings, a fan symbol sometime displayed then disappear, but the main issue is that whatever the reading, it's not correct at all.
The very strange issue also, is that the temperature is correctly displayed on the panel of the Climatronic, made a bit more search, I found out that the reading displayed on the Climatronic panel is the average reading of two sensors the Air Intake sensor and the Outer temperature sensor.
So I decided to check for any faults on the Dash panel insert, logged on to the dash, found one fault, that reads: Outer temperature sensor open or short to earth. As a logical step, I decided to remove the outer temperature sensor and compare the readings on both the Dash and the Climatronic panel after disconnecting the earth strap of the battery, I found out that still the reading on the Climatronic panel is correct, however the one on the dash fluctuates as before, I checked after 20 minutes but the case was just the same.
FYI, it's obvious that the control unit of the Climatronic is sending data to the Dash in the form of, Compressor on (Fan Displayed, or not Displayed) Compressor Off (Fan displayed or Not) plus the measured average temperature of the two sensors. So I decided to use a good trick, connected the outer temperature sensor directly to the Dash Panel Insert, Well that was a good step, temperature reading somehow is correct but there is a difference between the twp readings of the Dash and the Climatronic Panel sometimes it's more than 8 degrees on the highway.
As per the wiring on Elsawin 3.13 everything is connected and installed correctly, no faults recognized on the A/C.
My question now, Do you think there anything connected in between the Climatronic Panel and the Dash (From Pin # 12 on T12a to Pin # 26 on T32a?)
Thank you kindly and looking forward to receiving your feedback

Hi
Could you please tell us how to upgrade, what parts are needed and the total cost? People have been waiting years to do this!
Thanks
