Post by Mk2Adam »

i've got a late mk2, does anyone know if a coupe S steering wheel would fit or is it the wrong size?

you need one from the same age car. I think the changeover is around E reg. So anything newer than that will fit fine. The shaft is a larger diameter on newer ones.

i found that out with my old mk2, wanted a smaller steering wheel, found one at the breakers, and then found the shaft sizes were different! doh

I have a spare one of these :D . i cant use it as i had to put a mk3 steering column in the car with the dash, which is the larger spline. I'm pritty gutted i cant use it but if u make me a an offer i might just sell it. I also have a boss kit to take an after market wheel if anyones interested?
