The quick and the rare...

Just a quick couple of questions (feel like a child in a sweet shop after finding this forum!).

1. Is their alot of difference power wise between the 1.4 16v and the 1.6GLX? And what bhp did they both have out of the factory?

2. Is it just me or the 1.6GLX models pretty rare on the roads? had mine for a couple of years and think i've encountered 2 in that time...

3. Has anyone dared to make themselves a custom grille? And if so, how hard was it? Really considering it but would appreciate a little feed back from those braver than me!

1) Yeah the 1.6 is slower than the 1.4 as my mate used to have a 1.6L and I beat it in a heavier Ibiza with the same 16v engine.

2) Not particularly! They were the top of the range model, but the CL came with most of its goodies already, so most people couldn't justify the extra cash. I see GLX's all the time in Northampton.
