hello people need real help

hi hope everyone had a good christmas. i have a problem with my 1.6 glx polo p reg. it has let me down again. well when i drive it in first gear i hear noises like somethink is loose, when in second gear the noise gets louder evan in third but when its in forth gear the car doesnt drive it rev counter move but does not accelerate. the car shakes. i dont now what to do went to one garage and he said it the gear box but the polo had a new gearbox 2 years ago. help me please

that new gearbox it had...was it a recon?

Sounds like the gearbox bearings...if its not then its the clutch which isn't engaging, but the sound it is making sounds like the bearings.

recon is about Â£200 i think from a scrappy...new one is nearly Â£500.

gonna get it checked properly
