Mudflaps

I have a 1.0L as you prpbably know from my posts.

I wanna set of mudflaps like the ones on wils0n86's ride.

Where can i get em, any ideas?

had mine from VW mate, iirc they cost bout £40 for all 4 8)

im gunna have to take mine off coz they scrape coz im so low 8) (and fat)
i luv em coz they have the lil white VW sign on the back ones lol

Had them on me old mk4 and my car was not that low abt 45mm, but they use to scrape on bumps and ramps, they use to fray so badley.

I wouldnt never remove them as they protect the cars paint work and makes the car easier to clean.

Ever see those cars with loads of muck on the side of the car like they have been rally driving, I bet ya if you look closely they dont have mud flaps........ :wink:

Don't quote me on this, but I'm almost certain I read somewhere that mud flaps increase your performance in some way... something to do with the power range or some such technical doings... could be wrong.

Hmmm I would of thougth the reverse as they would create air drag, effect the airflow............

yeah that makes more sense I supose. It's going to bug me now though where I read it...

maybe it helps the flow of air get out of the wheel arch or sumin, dont ask me i only have a B at A-level physics :oops: :lol:

i love my mudflaps all be it my car is a 6n2, but you don't see many modified cars with mudflaps on.
o to be different, must be a vag thing :D

polopawah do ur sh!tflaps...sorry mudflaps scrape the gorund all the time when u go round a corner as ur car is so low, coz i do and it sounds horrid and people look at me with a scared face and i just have to shout "mudflaps!" at them lol

might be a dumb idea (well it is) but they will obviously scrape as the cars lowered... so mayb chop em a little bit,,, :?
