Can you stetch a 225 wide tyre on to a 9 inch wide rim

would have thought so, wouldnt think they'd be that stretched tho?

i've got 195/50 at the min and i'm putting 195/45 on 8" rims, would depend on the sidewall profile...

225mm works out at 9 inches so not stretched

I have 215/40/16 stretched over an 8" rim...

Looks good... Not mega stretched, but enough!

it would be 225-35-18 on the 9 inch wheel

It will be stretched, but not loads. A 9J wheel will usually measure 10" wide. The 9J is the width from the inside of lips.

So it'll fit nicely.

Please tell me your not sticking 18's on a polo?

No im not its for my Dads BMW, he thinks the tyres are to wide on the back and wanted to know if he could fit the same size tyres on the back as on the front of the car
