wierd noise from speakers pls help

hey i amped up my rear speakers in my 6n2 and when i trn the engine on i can hear a wailing noise from the speakers. it gets higher as you rev the car and it is well anoyin, do any ov u knw how to fix the problem? x

sounds like a dodgy earth to me mate !!!

is dodgy earth i rekon, mine was dodgy, and when a guy was fittin an alarm 4 me on tuesday he said, "ah no wonder uve got a dodgy earth, its stuck to plastic"

oh ok my m8 said maybe its because i have run the power cable next 2 my phono cables. i dont know lol i dont want 2 take my car apart 4 no reason x

Check your earths first, which is easy enough, if not then you could try running the power cable the other side.

Do you have more than one amp?
If you have two, are they earthed in the same spot?

just the one amp at the mo. havent done anything yet beacuse i had exams but will terrorise the car soon lol

thats a possibility, as far as i know your supposed to run the power cables down one side and phono down the other.

That's right yeah, signal cables are supposed to be kept away from power cables.

Therefore RCA's down the right and Power Cable down the left or vice versa
