i've always thought/been told that this wasnt possible without huge amounts of custom work cause the blocks are too tall for the Polo bonnet line. You would probably be better speaking direct to Dubsport.

Found this @ VW mania. So it can be done (obviously, after the adagium of 'Anything can be done with enough time and money'). The welding for the new engine mounts looked a bit scruffy though. But, it did get TüV approved, so it's good enough.

Forgot about the Ibiza engines :oops:

They have a steeper engine angle (cause the Ibizas front end is very similar to the Polo) so this would require a lot less work.

r the ibiza engines nuch different?

i can get golf engine real cheap off a mate-and another mate could fit it, but findin background detasils about others is a nightmare!!

Well, as with all non-Polo engines, you'll find that the engine mounts don't fit. This means it won't be shoehorned in as fast as you'd like. If your mate is good at welding...

Perhaps the Seat Ibiza driveshafts have the proper length, since Golf shafts could be too long (but I'm guessing here!). Audi TT ones are too long for sure.

Electronics depend on how new/old the engine is you're after. The newer, the tougher.
