hello people!
right basically what part of the ignition system turns the starter motor on
the very last part of when u turn the key should engage the starter motor to turn the engine over -- mine has broken-- not the starter motor the part behind the barrel or within the barrel ...
what part is it tht ?
i do nt have any battery problems etc etc -- its just the last section of when u turn the key to the fully on position to get the car goin
if possible could u tell me how this works -- or what the broken part is
thanks alot !

How can you be sure it's in the ignition barrel?
First check to hear if the starter solenoid is kicking in or not. You'll need a mate to try to start it whilst you stick your head under the bonnet to listen for a click. That click is the starter solenoid engaging the flywheel ring gear. If you don't hear it then it could be as simple as a blown fuse/relay or loose connection. If it does engage then the starter's probably fried.
Relays are tricky because they are sealed, only way to test is to replace with a known working one (like the horn one).
