wobbley stearing wheel

i have a polo 6n2 2001,my stearing wheel wobbles quit abit does any one no why this could be

In what way?

Like it's loosely fitted, or at speed when you're driving long.

If the latter, it could be unbalanced wheels or something like bent wishbones. Have you hit any kerbs recently?

nar its like when ur siting there as u do,u can just move the stearing wheel about

i hit a kerb the other day when some african lady cut me up she pushed me in to the kerb,but it was doing this b4 i had my wheeles fitted

It sounds like your wheel bolts need tightening or your steering wheel needs tightening up urgently!

I think I know what you mean, the wheel just feels sooooo light and is easily moved about, almost like its not attached to anything... I think its just a temp prob with the power steering, happened to me once, when driving over very unstable ground (gravel etc..)

Should go back to normal, else needs checking out

yea it just shakes when u go over speed humps and any bumpy surface it moves the dash aswell at the top where the windscreen is, theres a gap in between the window and the dash but its only near my side and not the passanger side, u can fit ur finger init on the drivers side but not the passanger
