How wide can you go? Stretched or not?

I've just ordered some new rims, not saying what but i'll show you when i get them. Lets just say they have a rather large dish and are 15's.

They're 7" front and 8" rear and i've never seen a polo with them on (or vw come to think of it)

Do I go wide on the tyres (195 front 215 rear) or should i go stretched (175 front 195 rear)?

Stretched will look cool, but I want it to have a stupidly wide look from the back.

I'm so undecided

Just ordered the tyres. The wide ones. Toyo proxes T1R. Â£200 fitted. Wheels hopefully turn up friday, so i'll let you know how much they scrub!

Not that i can drive the car with a broke pedalbox and a knackered gearbox!
