9n Brake noise

I have a really annoying brake noise, it only happens when I revearse the car and it's a really annoying scraping sound, (sounds like it's the rear discs! ) I've taken it into VW and they say it's normal to have a little bit of noise. They did nothing to eliviate the problem! hmmm
I've got allround discs and ESP. The pads where changed in June along with the front tyres. The manual says that you're supposed to use all the same tyre makes when using ESP. As I bought the car second hand in August the tyres weren't my doing! could this be the problem?

same problem here - was told to stand on the brake pedal occassionally this seems to have sorted the problem. was told by colbournes in guildford this is an additional `feature' and nothing to worry about.
