I wanted to do a similar thing to the polo for the show last year - even got the vinyl cut and the door plates done with 97 on em now I've seen someone else do it I'm gutted but it's a nice job he made of it!!!!

77 is the year of the car same as 97 in my case!!!

Don't want to put a moderators nose out of joint, but I don't think 77 refers to the age of the car does it? As its a mk2 on a B plate (1986?)

Maybe year of birth.

Nice job on the car though!!! :lol:

Yeah - but that didn't come out how I intended it to be written and no you won't put my nose out of joint pointing out a bloody obvious gaff on my part!!!!

My golfs a B plate, its a 1984

I think 77 refers to when the first golf was made?

Id of done 38 8) the year wolfsburg was built

i saw that car this morning!!!

It was driving down the A5 southbound.

I looked at it then noticed the numberplate and that was the car!!!

i don't mean to sound controversal but am i the only person that'd feel embarresed to actually drive a car all labeled up like a le mans car, obviously for a show it'd look cool :? or maybe i'm just boring :lol:

Nope - it's not controversal (sp) the wonderfull thing about the world we live in we all breathe the same air but can have totally different opinions and outlook on life and be free to voice them (provided you respect the opinions of others)
