This one? That's the stock silver paint. Polishing is nice, but remember that winter driving (salt) is a no-no. Also, IMO it must be done to perfection, or not at all. Don't really care for that 'DIY but not too good sorry' look. That's why I backed out of polishing my Solitude's a while back... Don't trust myself with that jobbie.

thanks for that speedlaw, i thought it was a standard shine i'm getting them done tomorrow back origional as i don't think the polish look would look good on a red car, i saw a chrysler the other day with chrome rims and it looked too stateside for the euro look. :D

It could work though (high gloss on a red car), but I like the OE finish too - a lot.

Anyway -

This morning I thought of something else, check this out:

Normal finish, but with a polished lip. Never seen this IRL, I think it's pretty rare. And hot.

Your car is looking the biz mate, can't wait for the Porsche wheels!

That wheel is nice, isn't it?

I must admit though, that when it comes to Photoshopping I bite the dust big time. All I know how to do is resize, adjust color/contrast/levels/brightness/etc. but this copy-paste business is beyond me. Sorry...

I do know that there are some PS gods out there, so I'm hoping they'll drop by and help out.

I think you're right on that bill. Lots of work.

Why are they dark on the inside? Were they polished and sprayed?

no they just are finished in the same way (wish i had the clubsports tho that little difference makes them all the more sexier), they are definately design90's let me get them sprayed up and ready then i'll take the car down to jbs so they can put them on and adjust the suspension so it's sat lower than it is with the 17's and i'll get some more updated pics hopefully this time it won't rain when i wash the car... :D

Hot Dang!

Those are my new all time favourite wheels!!!!

That's the look I want!!!

Harry, you'll have to excuse me, but if you get that done to your rims, we'll just have to make sure we don't go to the same places, cos I'm gonna get that done to my babies (when i actually find some at the right price!)

i got some centre caps exactly the same ones as in the picture (boy were they expensive..), the ones that came with the alloys were metal these are plastic and look much better plus 2 of the metal ones weren't as good as the other two just need to get the wheels repainted and i'm done watch this space...
