Was thinking of them for a while for my Polo but I think you need stick red reflectors on the rear of your car for it to be road legal and pass mot, thats the only thing stopping me.

And also its very hard to get RHD versions most vers are LHD, always had probs come MOT time on me old Mk4...........

you can wire them up to pass the MOT no problems? it shouldn't be any problem at all. you just get a red reverse light as well as a red fog light. it's all legit.

as for the reflector - you just need to shove em on at mot time.

you will need mk5 bulb holders - 11 quid per side.

do you fancy any hella clear LEDs? I'm selling mine. would look mint on a white car. with bulb holders too, and trimmed so they fit flush on the mk4.

i had some discreet round reflectors on the car just under the lights!

LHD rear lights have a red reflector for the fog in the LHS light. the UK ones have that in the RHS light.

some people knock out the red reflector on the LHS light so you end up with a clear reverse light and stick a red bulb in for the fog light area for the RHS, I'd be amazed if you found a set with a red reflector in the RHS light.

there really is no problems at all with the LHD lights - all you need is a red bulb in the RHS light to pass the mot!

there has to be one fog on the RHS of the car. so stick a red bulb in there and you're fine

that surprises me - only because my g/f had the 6N version and they weren't flush because they're the same light mould - I'm only talking about 3 or 4mm out of the car at the bottom of the light (fludh at the top and sides) compared to the bit underneath the lights - it's not much.

the 6N version has different wiring - that was the only difference I found between my 6N2 ones and the bird's 6N ones. the mould is the same IIRC. correct me if I'm wrong. :?

Have you got any pics of them on the car yet Laura? Be good to see them out of the box.

I never even test fitted them.
