16v exhaust on an 8v

i bought an exhaust i think its for a 16v will it fit onto my 8v? if not can i mod it to fit?

They're different so Im afraid they wont fit...

Dont know if its possible to do any diy to make it fit

had it fitted a couple of years back and have since had that polo written off
