hey lads.... I have been looking for my new wheels for a while now and I think I have found the look I want on my Polo. Alot of you probably know the wheel its a Borbet design T. This has the deepdish I was after. But I have a few questions bought them.... Is there a replica or anything like them cheaper available for my car because they are working out extremely expensive or would it be worth forking out the money for them. Also there is only one importer to Ireland (99% sure). Next question: What size do yous recommend i go for? I have chosen the 14" but am unsure of the width. Believe they come in either a 7" width or 8" width. Now.... I know eight sounds like the obvious answer but please bear in mind its a 1litre mk4 lowered 35/40 on Apex springs.... Need to keep some performance(if it has any at all) and will either catch scrub on the arch, bumper, suspension? Feedback would be brillian lads thanks a million.... Oh and heres a quick pic of them....[img] [/img]
get 7J if your car is lowered 40mm, just to be on the safe side.
you can always buy wheel spacers at a later date to make the rear wheels stick out abit for that Euro look
I'd go for the 8" width version, to get that real deepdish look. And to maintain some performance, make suren to gput some tyres on it which are smaller then your original tyres, that will lower the rollingresistance the car experiences, and therefor give your more BHP and Torque on the tyres, to compensate for the loss of the wider tyres.
Go for 8`s thats what mine are, i had no probs at all and was lowered 50mm, mine are et 24 (i think )
I dont know about prices for the borbets but check out www.dubmeister.co.uk they have a massive selection of euro dished wheels i went for steffan BCW (see sig) £700 for wheels and tyres last january
Cheers for the feedback lads.... still unsure between the sevens an eights. CHeers for that pic lad... love the look of the wheels. You dont have a picture from the front tho do you?
Hey Giorgio.... Heres a picture it would be brilliant if you could "photo ma chop it" like you said.... sorry its such a bad picture and the cars manky dirty. Was in a big rush. Hope its ok. Thanks a million your a legend
Thanks a million for the quick reply morundy... love the look of them. I like the way your tyres were stretched on... can u remember the size tyre they took an roughly how much the tyres and wheels were.
