no problem mate  it was a 1.4 8V performance wise felt alot faster with the smaller wheels and the car griped the road well 8) i would sujest if you get these wheels or any 14" get some coilies...if your on a budget then get get it lowered 60mm with springs and shocks

ah im stretching to buy the wheels big time as it is. I think my 35/40mm Apex springs will have to make do. Some day ill get coilovers... wen the funds are together. I know I asked already but there was no problem with the eight inch width was there. Was really expectin it to catch or rub somewhere or make it awkward to manouver(no idea how to spell that). Sorry its just alot of money an cant afford to get it wrong.

wel mate my wheels were ET15 and i had no problems with them what so ever :D full car could full lock the stearing and no rubbing what so ever..i woul recomend ET15 as they will stick out of your arch a little more :D 8)
lowering wise i dint mind 40mm with 14s even tho everyone said to lower it more i dint wnat to go lower i think you should be fine but there will be a gap between the wheels and the arch
