Remote lead

Post by Jackthelad »

As you probably know from my previous post I have just installed my sub and amp. The problem I have now is that my headunit is always powerd so if I plug the remote lead into that, the amp will always be powerd.

Will this drain my battery if left over night??

Sorry about all the questions!! Thanks.

Is your H/U powered even when the ignition is off? If so, you can wire it usually, to come on and go off with the igntion. Which then will turn the amp off.

Best bet is to check to see if there are any blue wires (which IIRC are the ignition wires) that aren't used, as the standard H/U turns on and off with the ignition, so an aftermarket one should be able to.

I assume so, I suppose it's just a bit like leaving your lights on?
