Uh.. Help?

Post by Bucky1.6glx »

Hi folks, sorry in advance if i'm covering old ground but my polo was seriously playing up on way to work this morning... Started up fine and went about a mile before it started to stutter when i accelerated. It's hard to explain but it felt like I had big flat spots that caused the car to jump without even increasing the revs. I found that if I kept accelerating it would eventully "jump" back into accelrating. Also when I dropped the clutch the revs shot down and kept jumping and almost back firing.
Once aain sorry if this has been coveed somewhere but hopin someone got any ideas? Thanks alot folks

Buy some carb cleaner, remove the air box/air filter, put a brick on the accelerator pedal and spray carb cleaner down the throttle body.

Or read this thread, especially the bottom, for more information.
