Variable service warning-reset

Post by Gazz »

Hi

I have a 2003 (53 plate) 1.9 Diesel (I think it's a MKIV!), its on variable servicing. As it’s out of warranty now due to the mileage I didn’t want to pay my VW dealer mega bucks to change my oil & filter and refill my windscreen wash tank. My question is how do I get rid of the service warning? (The little spanner and ‘bing’ on start up) as I have now changed the oil and filter etc. Thanks.

hello, you have a mkVI (also known as a 9n) and to reset the light, it tells you in the manual that came with the car.
